Mac 48 fps · Windows 47 fps

Bad Wi‑Fi, hotel networks
Measured on home Wi‑Fi on 3 October 2026, WS.Remote 0.6.56. How we measured
Measured 3 October 2026 with WS.Remote 0.6.56: 5 GHz Wi‑Fi in one flat, a MacBook Pro M1 Pro and a Dell laptop with Intel UHD 620, medians of interleaved runs.
From a change on the helped computer's screen to the helper's screen: 31 ms (Mac), 34 ms (Windows). Dragging a window: 48 fps (Mac), 47 fps (Windows). Resizing a window on Windows: 50–60 fps. Typing on Windows: 31 ms from key press to the letter on screen. Packet loss: automated test, 30 of 30 video frames delivered with 10–30% of packets lost.
Over the internet, through our relay between two homes: 30 fps window dragging and 58 ms from key to letter (first measurements, WS.Remote 0.6.60).
Your own network adds its own delay. These are measurements, not guarantees.
Private and secure
Your screen goes to them. Not to us.
The picture travels between the two computers, encrypted on the way. Our server introduces them, and forwards encrypted data only when a network blocks the direct path.
End‑to‑end encrypted.
Fresh keys for every session, made on the two computers. Our relay never holds them.
Direct first.
Peer‑to‑peer whenever the network allows. The relay steps in only when it has to.
Permission, always theirs.
Nobody connects without a click on Allow at that computer, unless its owner chose to always allow a trusted helper. Either side can end the session at once.
No session recording.
Sessions are never recorded or stored, by us or by the app. No ads, no tracking, and crash reports only when someone clicks Send.
Signed applications.
The Mac app is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple. The Windows app carries our code‑signing certificate.
A report after each session.
The person helped can get an email summary: who connected, when, and for how long.

Why WS.Remote
Made by people who build computers.
Sebastian Michalski has built multi‑GPU workstations by hand in Warsaw since 2011, for studios and engineers in more than 30 countries. WS.Remote started as the tool he needed to look after those machines from a distance.

Questions
Is it really $1 a month, with no limits?
Yes. Pro costs $12 a year, paid once: unlimited sessions, any number of computers to help, up to 3 of your own computers, commercial use included. Lifetime is a single payment of $49, or $29 for the first 500 buyers.
I bought a WS.COMPUTER workstation. Do I pay?
No. WS.Remote Pro is free for every WS.COMPUTER client, with no time limit. Write to info@ws.computer with your build number and we send you your licence.
What happens after a year?
Nothing is charged. WS.Remote reminds you before the year ends, and you renew with one click if you want to.
Can I get my money back?
Yes, within 30 days of buying, no questions asked. Write to info@ws.computer and the payment goes back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5–10 days.
Can I try it first?
Yes. Every download includes 14 days of full control, no card needed. Buy only when it has earned it.
Does the other person need to pay or sign up?
No. They download WS.Remote, read you their number and click Allow. Receiving help is free, forever.
Which systems?
macOS and Windows, controlling each other in any direction. Linux is in preparation.
Can I use it at work?
Yes. Commercial use is included in every paid plan. Companies get a VAT invoice automatically, with their VAT number when they enter it at checkout.
Is the app signed?
Yes. The Mac app is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple. The Windows app is signed with our code-signing certificate. Your system shows the publisher before it opens.
How can it cost this little?
No sales team and no data business. The picture travels directly between the two computers, so our servers carry almost nothing, and the app is small and native. We would rather sell many licences at a fair price.
Does it work behind company firewalls?
Usually, yes. When a network blocks the direct connection, WS.Remote falls back to our relay over the standard secure web port (443). The session stays end-to-end encrypted.
New computer, or lost your code?
Your code is in the email with your invoice. Activate it on the new computer. If all 3 activations are used, write to info@ws.computer and we free one up.
Who can see my session?
Nobody in between can read it: not us, not your network. The picture is end-to-end encrypted and travels directly between the computers whenever the network allows. One gap remains, and we describe it openly: how it works, and what we have not done yet.
